Prologue...

Under_Construction.jpgSometimes I wonder, and I wander. I dream about the long tall yellow grass in the fields, the wind washing over it like a wave of golden autumn sunlight. The way the reeds ebb and flow like ocean waves in the dry grassy fields of the Texas hilltops. I feel the coolness of the crisp Texas autumn, the dry sunny blue days, and the long dark haunting nights. I hear the coyotes off in the distance. They yelp like crying children. Are they lonely? Are they hungry? Do they simply want to find a place to call home and stop their relentless wandering?

Welcome to our web site!
Hi Folks, My name is Oscar Saenz III, I'm an international artist based in San Antonio Texas. Ole San Antone. with all its Old World/New World charm... after so many years of life on the road. It's superlative to be back in the greatest City in Tejas... the Jewel in the lower Crown of the Texas Hill Country...

Life is such an awesome adventure.... One day your here and the next night your right there, swimming in your own ridiculous metaphoric salsa. The Search for the Ultimate Enchilada has become, for me, the realization that sometimes, just finding yourself; indeed, swimming in your very soul of the greasy plate of life... all covered with cheese and taco salad; is that eventually, and somewhat manically you have become that Tuesday Dinner Blue-plate Special after all, then, suddenly you realize with an almost incomprehensible and shockingly inept state of emotion that you've become (not just the Tuesday Special) but Special every night of the week for the rest of your life...

I work in several Media: Oils, Acrylics, Metal, and sometimes whatever is available. My work ranges from realism, iconism, fauvism, impressionism, minimalism and abstract. I like to think of every piece as an entirely different entity of thought and emotion. Sometimes just an idea, sometimes a whole story in itself.

To say my work is diverse, would be an understatement. I like to think of every individual piece as exploration, a journey into symbolism, color, mood, light, and thought.
